First Night: Beijing!

After 12 hours in the air, my laptop reads 5:20am, but the clocks here in in Beijing say 9:20pm. That's a little confusing. The good news is, we get to go right to sleep. We were cramped on the plane, but they gave us so much food! I passed my "midnight" sandwich to Brandon. :) I watched Captain America: Winter Soldier, and Maleficent on the plane. I'd been wanting to see both, and we each had our own screen with tons of movies to choose from. That was helpful. I also worked on my manuscript and slept for almost 3 hours. I love flying, but it was so good to get off that plane.
Our guide, Emma, met us at the airport and she is super. Very sweet and confident. There are two other adopting families here with GWCA, so we'll meet them tomorrow. It's an early day. We'll eat and be ready to go before 8am. We have a nice buffet breakfast with Chinese and American foods. I wonder what I will try. :)
We don't have Facebook or Twitter in China. So far my email is sketchy. Chelsea, maybe you could share this so family and friends see it?
Tomorrow is The Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, and Forbidden City. So I'm going to finish this up and sleep. Our hotel is big and lovely and we have a shiny view. Here are a few pictures.

We made it! Good night!
